There are many different types of anxiety disorders, some studies consider things like PTSD and OCD to be types of anxiety disorders. Results for things like OCD and PTSD can be found in other nodes. For Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) the results of studies examining the efficacy of CBT on the disorder show no difference between patient groups that underwent CBT treatment and patients that underwent different types of treatment.
