Comorbidity of Eating Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Results of ERP
This combined ERP method has been seen to be effective in decreasing both ED and OCD symptoms as well as increasing BMI in patients, especially in patients with anorexia nervosa and those who were underweight at the start of treatment. The results of one study in particular showed this was true regardless of the type of ED and the patient's initial BMI. However, people with bulimia nervosa improved more than those with anorexia nervosa.
