Comorbidity of Eating Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Combined Exposure and Response Treatment (ERP)
ERP is a type of CBT treatment for OCD that, as the name suggests, uses exposure methods. The same methods may be applied to OCD patients with comorbid eating disorders. One possible treatment plan is to have a patient partake in ERP designed for OCD and EDs in addition to following an eating plan, taking medication, and receiving psychosocial support.
