Costs of Job Loss for Re-employed vs. Unemployed Workers (Jacobson et al. Study)

In their study of displaced workers, Jacobson, Lalonde, and Sullivan found that the costs of job loss were not uniform. While workers who found new employment faced significant and lasting earnings reductions, the costs were even more severe for those who remained completely unemployed following the layoff.
