Comparison of SARS-CoV-2 genomes in six different geographical regions
It was shown that all SARS-CoV-2 genomes from India, Italy, USA, and Nepal had around 99% similarity to the Wuhan genome. All of those genomes had unique mutations, except for the genome from Nepal, which shared 100% genome similarity with the Wuhan genome. Specifically, there was a variation spike surface glycoprotein (A930V (24351C>T)) in the Indian sequence.
