Critique of Distinct Arousal Patterns in James-Lange Theory

A significant criticism of the James-Lange theory is the doubt that physiological arousal patterns are unique enough to account for the wide variety of emotions humans experience. This perspective questions whether the bodily changes that occur during different emotional states, such as fear, joy, or anger, are sufficiently distinct to be the sole cause of these separate feelings.
