Critiquing an Experimental Design for Studying Cooperation

An economic experiment is designed to study cooperation. In the experiment, anonymous four-person groups play for ten rounds. In each round, every participant is given $20 and can choose how much to allocate to a shared fund. For every dollar contributed to the fund, each of the four group members (including the contributor) receives a benefit of $0.40. After each round, players are informed of the contributions made by the other members of their group.

Critique this experimental design. In your response, identify and explain one specific feature of the design that makes it effective for studying cooperation, and one potential limitation or confounding factor that could affect the validity of the conclusions drawn from the results.
