Darwin's Theory on the Universality of Emotional Expression

In his 1872 book, 'The Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals,' Charles Darwin first proposed the idea that the patterns of muscle activity involved in facial expressions are universal across humans. This theory laid the historical groundwork for modern research into the universality of emotions.
