Definition of Goods Market Equilibrium

A goods market is considered to be in equilibrium when the total supply of goods and services produced within an economy is exactly equal to the total demand for those goods and services. In the context of the multiplier model, this occurs when aggregate output (Y), which represents supply, matches aggregate demand (AD).
