Concept

Dietary Purity and Harmony with Nature in the Tale of Hasan Basri and Rabia

This concept in Attar's Elahi Nameh explores the relationship between dietary purity, asceticism, and harmony with creation. In the story, wild animals gather around Rabia but flee from Hasan Basri because he consumed animal fat, whereas Rabia abstained from consuming or harming animals. It teaches that internal purity and compassion toward creation are prerequisites for achieving spiritual harmony and oneness with nature.
