Disability Status of Participants (Autism Experience in College In Comparison to Neurotypical Peers)

Three categories exist to separate students by disability status:

  • any students in the registered sample or possessing an autism diagnosis are "on the spectrum"
  • students with a disability were not on the spectrum but reported another of these disabilities: sensory impairment, mobility impairment, learning disability, mental health disorder, or any other unlisted disability
  • all other non-disabled students are "neurotypical"
