Dispatch Board Layout for Electrical Service Work

A dispatch board is easiest to use when it groups information into four parts. Technician rows act like individual lanes that hold each technician’s jobs in time order. Job blocks contain the main details for each assignment, such as the customer, location, job type, priority, and scheduled window. An unassigned queue stores new work orders that have not yet been matched to a technician. Status indicators, often shown with colors or icons, show whether a job is planned, dispatched, underway, finished, or waiting. These elements give the dispatcher a quick view of the day’s work.
