Efficacy of Animal-Assisted Therapy in Lowering Anxiety Symptoms in School-Aged Children
In a study evaluating the efficacy of animal-assisted therapy, data on outcome measures and therapeutic alliances were not statistically significant. However, observable trends showed that the combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and animal-assisted therapy may be beneficial for easing anxiety symptoms in school-aged children.
