Evaluating Management Styles and Employee Monitoring

A software company is deciding between two management styles for its development team.

Style A: A 'results-only' approach where developers have complete freedom over their work hours and location. Performance is judged solely on meeting project deadlines every three months.

Style B: An 'agile' approach where developers work in the office during set hours, attend daily progress meetings, and use software that tracks their coding activity.

Critique both management styles in terms of their likely effect on the expected time a non-performing employee can go undetected. Justify which style presents a greater risk of prolonged employee non-performance and explain your reasoning.
