Nash Equilibrium in Chess

The game of chess serves as a powerful illustration of Nash's existence proof. Despite having a number of potential strategies that exceeds the number of atoms in the known universe, we can be certain that a Nash equilibrium exists for chess. However, the proof of existence does not reveal what the equilibrium is; it remains unknown whether the equilibrium strategy involves a guaranteed win for white, a win for black, or a draw.
