Example of a Mnemonic Device: The Knuckle Mnemonic for Days in a Month

A physical mnemonic technique uses the knuckles of two clenched fists to remember the number of days in each month. By counting across the knuckles and the spaces between them, the protruding knuckles represent months that have 31 days, while the indented valleys correspond to months with 30 days, with the exception of February.
