Example of Reactivity: Acting Differently in a Bar

A prime example of reactivity and the Hawthorne effect is how an individual might alter their behavior in a social setting, such as a bar, if they know they are being monitored. This awareness causes them to act differently than usual, thereby invalidating the observational study.
