Unfairness of a Coerced 50-50 Split

Consider a scenario where An offers her friend Bai an even split of a found $100, resulting in a ($50, $50) allocation. While this outcome appears substantively fair, its fairness is undermined if the procedure was unjust. For instance, if Bai had coerced An into making this offer by threatening her with a gun, the outcome would be widely judged as unfair due to the coercive and therefore unfair process.
