The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic brought with it an abrupt shift from traditional, in-person schooling to remote learning. While faculty and professors in higher education focused mainly on how to maintain rigor and the deliverance of a quality education, they neglected to pay attention to how students may struggle to adjust to virtual learning. It is crucial that professors work with their students to decide how to best meet their needs while simultaneously moving the curriculum over to an online format.
