Eye Tracking the Feedback Assigned to Undergraduate Students in a Digital Assessment Game- Procedure
Thirty undergraduate students, from The University of Western Canada, were involved in this study. Participants played a digital game-based assessment called Posterlet, for 15-20 minutes, while their eye movement was tracked by the EyeLink 1000 Plus eye tracker. In the Posterlet game, participants were instructed to design three posters and then they received assigned feedback from the characters in the game for each poster. After participants played the game, they then took a post-test that collected background information such as gender, age, color blindness, and education. When evaluating the data, researchers focused on fixed durations and timestamps, mouse movements, and screen coordinates for each feedback event. (Cutumisu, 2019)
