Figure 4.18b: Actual Offers and Expected Rejection Proportions

This figure shows the distribution of offers made by Proposers, with darker shading indicating the proportion of those offers that were actually rejected by Responders (based on data from Figure 4.17). This visualization provides the information that Proposers could use, based on their knowledge of community norms, to estimate the likelihood that different offers would be rejected. If their expectations were successful, they would align with these actual rejection rates.
