Foodborne Illness Due to Yersinia
Serotypes of Yersinia bacteria, Y. enterocolitica and Y. pseudotuberculosis, can cause gastroenteritis and intoxication, with infection occuring via fecal-route route or ingestion of fecal-contaminated food or water. Illness is mild.
