Graphing x=2x = 2 by Plotting Points

To graph the equation x=2x = 2, recognize that it contains only one variable, meaning the xx-value is always the constant 22 regardless of the yy-value. By creating a table of values where the xx-coordinate is always 22 and selecting arbitrary values for the yy-coordinates (such as 11, 22, and 33), we obtain ordered pairs like (2,1)(2, 1), (2,2)(2, 2), and (2,3)(2, 3). Plotting these ordered pairs on a coordinate plane and connecting them produces a vertical line that passes through the xx-axis at 22.
