Graphing 2xy>32x - y > 3

To graph the inequality 2xy>32x - y > 3, follow the three-step procedure: Step 1 — Graph the boundary line. Replace the >> symbol with == to get the boundary line 2xy=32x - y = 3. Since the inequality is strict (>>), draw a dashed line. Step 2 — Test a point. Use (0,0)(0, 0) as a test point: 2(0)0>32(0) - 0 > 3 simplifies to 0>30 > 3. This is false, so (0,0)(0, 0) is not a solution. Step 3 — Shade the correct side. Since the test point is not a solution, shade the half-plane on the opposite side of the boundary line (the region below the dashed line).
