Identifying Stable Project Outcomes

Two project partners, Alex and Ben, must independently choose one of two research methods: 'Quantitative' or 'Qualitative'. The project succeeds only if they choose the same method. If they choose different methods, both receive a payoff of 0. Alex prefers the Quantitative method and receives a payoff of 3 if both choose it, and a payoff of 2 if both choose Qualitative. Ben prefers the Qualitative method and receives a payoff of 3 if both choose it, and a payoff of 2 if both choose Quantitative. Identify the two stable outcomes in this scenario and explain why neither partner would have an incentive to change their choice in these outcomes.
