Impact of Take Good Care Intervention for Alcohol Use Among Youth with Chronic Medical Conditions

The Take Good Care intervention has been observed to have positive impacts on alcohol-related knowledge, perceived risk, and frequency of alcohol use among female youth. Fostering an internalized awareness of the importance of limiting alcohol use for their chronic illness may be helpful for medically vulnerable adolescents who must maintain lifelong disease management practices and health protecting behaviors.
