When proposing a new node or a modification on an existing node, you can also propose changes to its components, such as image, choices (in question nodes), parent and child relations, references, and tags.

Modifying components of a node in 1Cademy

To propose a modification to a node, click the "Proposals" button on the node footer, then click the corresponding button in the right-hand sidebar to propose an improvement on that node. You can then edit the node's title, content, image, choices (in question nodes), parent and child relations, references, and tags. Finally, enter a summary and justification for your proposal and click "Post."

A node in 1Cademy is considered modified under specific conditions. Direct modification occurs when an improvement proposal for the existing node is posted and approved. Indirect modification happens when an improvement proposal for a directly linked parent or child node is approved, or when a parent or child node is deleted.

Node Modification in 1Cademy

To add a new node to 1Cademy map, you need to create a proposal. For this purpose, after identifying the prerequisite node, you should click the "Proposals" button on the node footer and click the appropriate proposal type from the list that shows up on the right, depending on the child node you'd like to add. Then, you'll see a new child node appears under your chosen prerequisite node. Replace its title and content. If necessary, upload an image for it. For each proposal, you also need to enter the summary of your proposal and justifications for why you propose this new node. Enter these two in their specified text boxes on the right sidebar. Finally, click the "Post" button.
Note that you cannot modify the type of a node after proposing it.

Adding a new node to 1Cademy

To create a node you have to submit your proposal so that if it is accepted by the community, your modifications will be applied. To create a new node you can click the Pencil icon in the toolbar, the proposal panel appears on the right sidebar of the page. You can propose different kinds of nodes. When you chose one of those node types, a new blank node appears on the map. You can apply your modifications to that blank node and submit your proposal to be reviewed by others. To submit your proposal you need to provide a summary of your proposal (usually 3-6 words) and Justification why you propose this specific modification on the map.

To modify an existing node in 1Cademy, you must submit an improvement proposal. Click the pencil or Proposals icon on the node to open the proposal panel, then select the option to propose a modification. The node will be highlighted, allowing you to edit its title, content, picture, references, tags, and parent or child relations.

How to edit a node by submitting an improvement proposal in 1Cademy

An indirect node modification in 1Cademy occurs when a directly linked parent or child node is altered. This happens either when an improvement proposal for a directly linked node is approved, or when a directly linked parent or child node is deleted.
