Impulses and Inhibition in PRIME Theory

Impulses are patterns of brain activity that coordinate and impel responses, while inhibitions are patterns of brain activity that work directly oppose these. Both patterns arise from learned or innate associations between stimuli and responses. Mindfulness, CBT, and other psychological interventions are helpful in reprogramming behaviors.
