Intimacy in Erikson's Theory

In Erikson's sixth stage of psychosocial development, intimacy is the positive outcome achieved in early adulthood. It involves the ability to share one's life and form deep, meaningful relationships with others. According to Erikson, a strong sense of self, developed in adolescence, is a necessary prerequisite for establishing true intimacy.
