Isolation in Erikson's Theory

In Erikson's sixth stage of psychosocial development, isolation is the negative outcome experienced in early adulthood. It occurs when individuals fail to develop a positive self-concept during adolescence. Without a strong sense of identity, adults may struggle to form intimate relationships, which can lead to profound feelings of loneliness and emotional isolation.
