In Section 129 of the Haft Awrang, Jami addresses the philosophical question of the 'transmutation of realities' (inqilab-i haqa'iq)—specifically how accidental properties (like actions or intentions) could transform into substances or physical forms at the resurrection. To resolve this without violating philosophical principles, Jami introduces the concept of the Garment of Forms (kiswat-i suwar).

Jami posits that actions do not literally transmute their ontological essence. Instead:

• Impression on the Heart: Repeated actions (takarru-i a'mal) leave a lasting spiritual impression (asar) on the soul or heart of the doer.
• Appropriate Raiment: At the resurrection, these inner spiritual qualities (meanings) are clothed in an outer form (surat) that is ontologically appropriate and fitting for that quality, rather than undergoing a literal change of essence.
