Job Control and Heart Disease Risk (British Civil Servant Study)

A notable example of the link between control and health comes from longitudinal studies of British civil servants. These studies revealed that employees in low-status positions with minimal job control had a significantly higher likelihood of developing heart disease compared to their counterparts in high-status jobs who had considerable control over their work.
