Job Security vs. Employment Security in the Danish Model

In the Danish flexicurity model, a key distinction is made between job security and employment security. Workers lack traditional job security, meaning they can be dismissed relatively easily and cannot expect to remain in a single job indefinitely. However, they are provided with long-term employment security, which is the assurance of being able to find new work, facilitated by active labor market policies like retraining and job search support.
