Labor Turnover and Replacement Hiring at the Parisian Language School

A firm's workforce size is affected by labor turnover, which is the rate at which employees leave. To maintain a desired number of employees (N), a firm must continuously hire to replace those who depart. For example, the Parisian language school has a weekly turnover rate of 4%. If the school aims to employ 50 tutors, it must hire two new tutors each week (0.04 × 50 = 2) to offset the two tutors expected to leave.
