Long-term Psychological Effects of Lead Exposure

One study interviewed 30 people exposed to unhealthy levels of lead in childhood. Interviews on their mental health was conducted over the course of a longitudinal study. Researchers performed statistical analyses with the responses and found higher lead exposure was correlated with neuroticism, decrease in conscientiousness, and decrease in agreeableness. Also, the risk of mental disorder was increased.
