Low Serotonin's Link to Traits Associated with Suicide
Serotonin dysfunction is a known factor in depression and has also been associated with higher levels of aggression and impulsivity. The combination of these three traits—depression, aggression, and impulsivity—can create a psychological profile that significantly increases the likelihood of suicide, especially violent forms of suicide.
