Major findings of the Multimodal Treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (MTA) study indicate that a combination of intensive behavioral treatment and medication management is superior to behavioral treatment alone and routine community care. Furthermore, participants who received the combination treatment required lower medication doses compared to those receiving medication alone.
