First, progressive differentiation. Then, for each piece (node), do the following:
1- Integrative reconciliation.
2- Add a proposal to that node for your new node.
3- Propose improvements to the nodes and relations created by others.
4- While learning, try to come up with brilliant ideas and propose them as idea nodes in relevant areas on the map.
5- If you find helpful references, such as textbooks, research papers, websites, ..., propose and share them with 1Cademists as reference nodes.
6- Propose question nodes to evaluate how other 1Cademists have learned the knowledge on the 1Cademy map.
7- Answer as many questions as you can every day to improve your long-term learning.

When you learn something helpful, follow this procedure to share it with other 1Cademists:

To propose a new node, one should first identify the essential prerequisite existing node on 1Cademy that 1Cademists should study first to be able to study the new node. Then they can propose the new node as a child node under the prerequisite node.

A visualization of some nodes and prerequisite links between them, which is hierarchically organized and personalized for a specific 1Cademy user. The map supports four overarching learning activities: navigation, summarization, evaluation, and improvement.

Mapping on 1Cademy

- The concept map in itself uses decoding, interpretation, and categorizing, which are all characteristics of critical thinking (Facione, as cited in Rowles & Brigham, 2005).
- A concept map should have cross-links (lines) that depict a connection or relationship of knowledge (Novak, 1998).
- Concept maps should be presented in a hierarchal manner, with general concepts at the top and more specific concepts below (Novak, 1998).
