Masked Metaphor Modeling
Masked metaphor modeling is a natural language processing task similar to masked language modeling, but the masked tokens are tagged metaphors. Fine-tuning a pre-trained model for this task requires a limited number of texts classified as metaphorical (e.g., by a metaphorical text classification model, ) and with the metaphor explicitly tagged within the text.

BERT's Masked Language Model Pre-training Process
A language model is trained on a large corpus of text. During this training, it is frequently presented with sentences where a single word has been hidden, such as: 'The scientist carefully examined the sample under the [HIDDEN]'. The model's sole objective is to predict the original, hidden word. What is the most significant advantage of this training objective for the model's understanding of language?
