Matrix Representation via Column Vectors

A matrix BRk×m\mathbf{B} \in \mathbb{R}^{k \times m} can be visualized as a horizontal collection of mm column vectors. Formally, it is expressed as B=[b1b2bm]\mathbf{B}=\begin{bmatrix} \mathbf{b}_{1} & \mathbf{b}_{2} & \cdots & \mathbf{b}_{m} \end{bmatrix}, where each bjRk\mathbf{b}_{j} \in \mathbb{R}^k is a column vector representing the jthj^\textrm{th} column of the matrix B\mathbf{B}.
