Order of a Matrix

The dimensions of a matrix define its order, which is expressed in terms of its rows and columns. Specifically, a matrix with mm horizontal rows and nn vertical columns is said to have an order of m×nm \times n (read as 'mm by nn'). For example, a matrix constructed with 22 rows and 33 columns has an order of 2×32 \times 3.
