Mechanism of Action of Hydroxychloroquine

Hydrochloroquine function by increasing pH intracelluarly, affecting the function of hydrolases and the assembly of macromolecules in endosomes. The antimalarial prevents the formation of peptide MHC complexes which stimulate an immunologic response.
