Mediation Effects (Identity Signaling & Workplace Productivity)

  • Used R to determine if space manipulation affected productivity via team identification or competition
  • Team identification had marginal effects on individual contribution to the team in the ingroup condition (no mediatory effects of identification on outgroup condition)
  • Thus, increased productivity in ingroup space can be at least somewhat attributed to team identification (this cannot be said for the outgroup condition, however)
