The research findings show that participants have a lower level of mental wellbeing, which can be attributed to concerns about job insecurity, low incomes, and job dissatisfaction. Improving the employment situation for people with disabilities can reduce the stigma against them and improve their mental well-being. Respondents who reported lower mental wellbeing tended to be those who perceived stigma and were males. This suggests that mental wellbeing programs for people with disabilities should focus on these groups.
