Metaphase

Metaphase is the third phase of mitotic karyokinesis. During this stage, the mitotic spindle is fully developed, centrosomes are positioned at opposite poles of the cell, and chromosomes line up along the metaphase plate with each sister chromatid attached to a spindle fiber from opposite poles.
