Prometaphase

Prometaphase is the second phase of mitotic karyokinesis. During this stage, chromosomes continue to condense, kinetochores appear at the centromeres, mitotic spindle microtubules attach to these kinetochores, and centrosomes move toward opposite poles of the cell.
