There is a displayed need for improved organization of special education programs, better pay and treatment of special educators, and training of regular/traditional educators for specialization in inclusive education practices.

There is a displayed need for support from peers and families, recognition of person’s potential and ability to flourish in society, and overall awareness and understanding of disabilities.

Observed Barrier: Negative Misconceptions and Pessimistic Outlooks on Life

There is a displayed need of increased awareness of authority figures towards the topic of disability for improved provision of resources and accommodation of needs.

Observed Barrier: Lack of Constructive Collaboration with National and International Agencies

Despite governments’ expression of the need to address the situation via new policies, such policies including provision of resources to students is not being effectively implemented, whether it be due to funding issues or a lack of a push to do so. Necessary policies may also just, in general, not be in place, such as the absence of a requirement for the training of teachers for special education approaches.
