Oversimplification of BMI
A key limitation of Body Mass Index (BMI) is its oversimplification of an individual's health, as it does not differentiate between the body's percentage of fat and muscle. This can be misleading; for instance, a highly fit athlete may have a high BMI due to significant muscle mass, not excess body fat.
