Teachers and paraprofessionals have to work together in order to create a good learning environment for the students. Unfortunately, sometimes it is difficult for them to work collaboratively as they might both have different ways of teaching or ideas about their roles in the classroom. It's important that both the teacher and paraprofessional be on the same page in regard to their responsibilities and methods of teaching the students. 

Teacher and Paraprofessional Relationship

Interventions are when the paraprofessional takes the student(s) out of
 class to work on specific academic skills like reading or math. The goal of the intervention is to get the student up to grade level in the subject.   

Paraprofessional Interventions

Paraprofessionals are sometimes referred to under different titles though that does not mean that the job descriptions are the same.

   - Instructional aid
   -  Parapro

Other Terms for Paraprofessional 

A paraprofessional does not need a degree or certification they are under the direction of a teacher or certified professional.  Paraprofessionals assist teachers in a variety of ways. They can assist in classroom management, paperwork, and reviewing/teaching lessons. Parapros can spend time with students one-on-one or with small groups in order to focus on specific skills like reading or math.

A method of education that focuses on developing practical skills under the guidance of a teacher or instructor.

Training

The use of literary-style narratives to teach complex or abstract subjects such as math or science.

Storytelling in Education

When an individual facilitates the learning of a student by teaching them content, behaviors, and skills and guiding their development.
