Prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 Among Patients Admitted for Childbirth in Southern Connecticut
Between April 2 and April 29, 2020, 770 pregnant women/individuals admitted to 3 Yale New Haven Health hospitals were screened and tested for SARS-2-CoV. Only 14 of the patients had symptoms. The 756 asymptomatic patients were then tested for SARS-2-CoV, of which only 22/756 (2.9%) tested positive. Only 8/14 (57%) individuals with COVID-19 symptoms tested positive.
